Description

The objective of this project is to revise and update the methodology and inventory for methane (CH₄) and carbon dioxide (Co₂) emissions from the United States petroleum industry. API had previously estimated global emissions of methane and carbon dioxide from petroleum sources in reports issued in 1991-1992 (Radian 1991; Radian1992). This project focuses on emissions from the United States and updates the estimates for the production of crude through the transport of refinery products.
