PURPOSE OF THIS DOCUMENT
This document has been prepared to coordinate the use of a
common cable code for paired, copper, outside plant and riser
telecommunications cables. This Guide, known as the Coding Guide
for Copper, Outside Plant and Riser Telecornmunications Cables, is
used to simplify cable designation in ordering, manufacturing,
identification, and record keeping.
