This Standard specifies the desks and tables for office use (hereafter referred to as "desks and tables").

The desks and tables specified in this Standard are intended to be used mainly in offices, manufactured by combining main components such as table tops, wings, legs and extension elements, and are used for work, meeting, reception and the like depending on the intended use.

While the desks and tables having a folding structure, a height adjustment structure and a knock-down structure are covered by this Standard, desks and tables which are designed not to be self-standing unless they are coupled with others, auxiliary tables to be used in combination with a desk, single-leg tables and desks and tables consisting of a panel system are not covered.
