These are primarily appearance products. <\/p>\n<p><b>Scope<\/b><\/p>\n<p> This Standard describes four grades for products sawn or milled from hardwood. <br \/> NOTES: <br \/> 1 The coverage by this Standard of all hardwood species does not imply their availability nor the availability of every grade in any species or species group. <br \/> 2 Milled timber for window frames, sashes and sills is specified in AS\u00a02047. <br \/> 3 Timber for furniture components is specified in AS\u00a02796.3. <br \/> 4 This Standard may be used as a basis for a third party product certification scheme. <br \/> 5 Natural colour variations are to be expected within a species. Some species exhibit only small variations while in others colour varies greatly. Differences may occur between growing regions and the age of tree may also have a significant influence. In some species, the colour of the sapwood may differ markedly from the colour of the heartwood.
