Scope

This Standard specifies requirements for both hot and cold water supplies with a maximum hot water temperature of 80¦C (allowing excursions to 95¦C) using metallic and non-metallic flexible tubes with end connection assemblies for above-ground applications only. Nominal sizes range from DN 2 to DN 50 (inclusive) with a continuous working pressure not exceeding 1.4 MPa and where the normal working temperature does not exceed 95¦C. Flexible tubes for cold water applications, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 60¦C, are included. The construction of flexible tubes is not included.
NOTE: This Standard excludes hoses for use with appliances.
