This Standard specifies requirements for helmets used in cricket to mitigate the effects of a blow to the head by a cricket ball. The Standard includes construction, strength of the retention system and its attachment points, impact energy attenuation, and labelling requirements.
Helmets complying with this Standard are not intended to protect wearers against a severe blow from a cricket bat.
