1.1 This specification covers aluminum and aluminum alloys in the form of ingots, bars, rods, cones, nuggets or shot, designated as shown in Table 1 , for use in the manufacture of iron and steel.

1.2 Units The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
