Intends to (a) establish uniformity of connection dimensions to permit interchangeability of one manufacturer?s meters with another manufacturer?s meters of the same size; (b) provide a common ground of understanding the terminology, use, and component parts and accuracies of these meters; and (c) provide a reference for the safe working pressures of these meters.
