Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

1.1<\/span> Spill prevention equipment<\/span>, and containment sumps<\/span> are tested periodically to ensure the equipment is liquid tight<\/span> by using vacuum, pressure, or liquid<\/span> testing pursuant to United States of America federal regulations found in \u00a7 40 CFR 280.35.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> This practice provides a liquid test<\/span> by visual examination<\/span> conducted by a professional inspector<\/span> to determine if the spill prevention equipment<\/span> and containment sumps<\/span> are liquid tight<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.3<\/span> The user is expected to have knowledge of UST installation procedures and UST operational, maintenance and testing requirements of \u00a7 40 CFR 280 et seq, related to the tasks performed.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

1.4<\/span> Section 6<\/span> provides the minimum qualifications and educational requirements of a professional inspector<\/span>. The authority having jurisdiction may have additional certification requirements.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.5<\/span> This practice offers a set of instructions for performing one or more specific operations.
