{"id":372322,"date":"2024-10-20T02:28:45","date_gmt":"2024-10-20T02:28:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bsi-pas-70552021\/"},"modified":"2024-10-26T04:19:14","modified_gmt":"2024-10-26T04:19:14","slug":"bsi-pas-70552021","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bsi-pas-70552021\/","title":{"rendered":"BSI PAS 7055:2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This PAS specifies safety requirements for button (also known as non-lithium) and coin batteries (also known as lithium) up to 32&nbsp;mm in diameter to mitigate the risk of ingestion.<\/p>\n<p>This PAS defines the safety requirements for manufacturers and producers of button and coin batteries, including the consumer products that use them, and the retailers and distributors of these products (including in-store and online retailing) regarding:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>labelling, instructions and packaging (including warnings);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>alignment of safety and health warnings;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>merchandising, e.g. displays and locations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>encouragement and facilitation of safe disposal and\/or recycling; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>product safety of typical consumer products using button and coin batteries, e.g. inclusion of warning text and requirements for secured battery compartments.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This PAS does not cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>disposal and recycling from an environmental perspective;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>batteries for professional and industrial use; and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>safety requirements in the manufacturing of batteries, safety requirements for toys, audio-visual equipment and medical devices, e.g. thermometers, hearing aids.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This PAS is relevant to manufacturers and producers of button and coin batteries (see Clause <b>4<\/b>), including the manufacturers and producers of consumer products that use them (see Clause <b>5<\/b>).
