Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1<\/span> This test method covers a procedure for determining the bulk density of granular refractory materials, commercial products which usually have particles that are retained on a 0.265 in. (6.7 mm) or coarser sieve.<\/p>\n

Note 1:<\/span> This test method is not suitable for materials that hydrate in boiling water.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

1.2<\/span> Units\u2014<\/span>The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.<\/p>\n

1.2.1<\/span> Exceptions\u2014<\/span>In Sections 4<\/span>, 7<\/span>, and 8<\/span>, the apparatus used is only available in SI units.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
